Arturo Herrera in the 12th Edition of Sculpture in the City, with two site specific works now on display in the City of London’s Square Mile, until spring 2024.

The 12th Edition of Sculpture in the City brings together 17 artists whose works appear alongside the striking urban landscape of the City, with a number of new sites added to the well-known landmarks featured.

Herrera's work Untitled is based on a collage which is made to contrast with the severity of the granite surroundings of Creechurch Lane. Activating the façade with fragmented shapes and colour fields, including a Cezanne reference and dripping paint, create a complex stage curtain on the flat surface of the building. This juxtaposition encourages a dialogue between architecture and the visual image that is open to a variety of readings.
