This publication was produced in conjunction with the exhibition conceived by Simon Starling, curated by Maria Centonze, at the Merz Foundation in 2011. For the first time in Italy the artist proposes himself as director of an exhibition project conceived by him, which he combines some of his works with the works of Mario Merz, Sture Johannesson, James Nasmyth & James Carpenter, and Faivovich & Goldberg.
The English artist analyzes, through generations of artistic production and scientific activity, the evolution of the relationship of art with science over the centuries.
