Costa Vece (Herisau, 1969), lives and works in Zurich.

Typical of Costa Vece’s practice is to let actions tied to his personal experience be reflected in a much wider overview of social experience, this attitude translated later in installations and objects that activate a mutual relationship between them, their surrounding space and the viewer.

His work has been shown in solo exhibition in international public and private Institutions, including: Kunstraum Kreuzlingen, Kreuzlingen, Switzerland (2012); Fondazione Merz, Turin, Italy (2009); Kunstmuseum Solothurn, Solothurn, Switzerland (2006); Pérez Centre d’Art, Santa Monica, Barcelona, Spain (2004); Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst, Zurich, Switzerland (2001; 2015); Radio Athènes, Athens, Greece (2015); 1857, Oslo, Norway (2012); MoMA PS1, New York, USA (2012).

He has also taken part in many group exhibitions in Institutions such as:  Espaço de Intervenção Cultural, Porto, Portugal (2019); TAF - The Art Foundation, Athen, Greece (2017); Neue Kunsthalle, St. Gallen, Switzerland (2013); CAPC - Musée d’art contemporain de Bordeaux, France (2010); Kunstmuseum St. Gallen, St. Gallen, Switzerland a (2009); Fotomuseum  Winterthur, Winterthur, Switzerland (2007); American Academy in Rome, Rome, Italy (2006); Galleria d’Arte Moderna, Bologna, Italy (2005), among many others.

He has participated in Biennials and international exhibitions such as: 4a Biennale di Jafre, Girona, Spain (2009); 27a Biennial of Graphic Arts, Ljubljana, Slovenia (2007); 1a Tirana Bienale, Tirana, Albania (2001); 48a Biennale di Venezia, Venice, Italy (1999).
